The Sapim Internal Hexa 5.4 mm T-Lock Nipple is a high-performance aluminium nipple designed for M4 × 0.5 threaded builds, especially with carbon spokes.

Made from 7075-T6 aluminium, it combines low weight, assembly precision and secure spoke retention thanks to its T-Lock 360 version, particularly recommended to reduce the risk of loosening over time.

This nipple is specifically suited to Sapim CX-Carbon and RC-1 spoke builds.

The Sapim Internal Hexa 5.4 mm T-Lock Nipple was developed to meet the demands of high-performance wheel builds, especially when using M4 × 0.5 threaded carbon spokes.

Manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminium, it offers an excellent balance of low weight, mechanical strength and machining precision. Its 5.4 mm hex interface matches the standard commonly used for this type of build and allows for clean, precise assembly with the proper tool.

Its 8.7 mm overall length has been defined in line with the spoke’s threaded section. When the spoke length is correctly selected, the nipple can be fully filled up to its end, with an adjustment margin of approximately ±1 mm in the chosen spoke length.

The nipple head has also been designed to promote smooth rotation in the rim bed, with a radius and diameter optimized for consistent operation during wheel building and tensioning.

The Sapim Internal Hexa T-Lock 5.4 mm nipple is available in two versions:
• T-Lock 360, with integrated locking function, strongly recommended
• Plain, without locking system

In its T-Lock 360 version, this nipple helps reduce the risk of loosening over time, making it especially relevant for high-performance wheels subjected to significant variations in load and spoke tension.
