460 g of time-trial performance. Strada Æra 78 is our Elite carbon aero rim dedicated to time trials and triathlon, designed to go fast in the aero position, on its own or paired with a Strada Æra 100 at the rear.

Its signature Æra relief, optimised through CFD, reduces drag by up to 10% compared with a smooth rim of the same depth, while preserving crosswind stability. The goal: hold speed without constantly having to fight the front end.

Strada Æra 78 is DUKE’s pure time-trial wheelset: designed for time trials, triathlon and any course where the priority is holding very high speeds in the aero position.

With its 78 mm profile and Æra signature relief, developed using CFD simulations, it offers up to 10% less drag than a smooth rim of the same depth. This optimised airflow translates into higher cruising speed at equal power, without making the wheel unmanageable in crosswinds.

Based on the SLR5 process, Strada Æra 78 combines Toray T1100 fibres, aerospace-grade resin and an ultra-precise layup to strike an excellent balance of stiffness, reliability and performance under the heavy loads of aero competition.

DRC (Dynamic Response Comfort) limits vibration and stabilises wheel behaviour at high speed: holding the aero position becomes easier, the bike moves less under power, and trajectories remain precise even on rough tarmac. Moulded spoke holes (SpokeCore) ensure a homogeneous, durable structure capable of withstanding competition-level demands.

With its 24 mm internal width, Strada Æra 78 is optimised for a 28 mm tyre – the ideal combination for intense, prolonged efforts: reduced pressure, better cornering grip and improved comfort, without sacrificing speed.
