The ZTR Alpha 340 is the first road rim manufactured by the inventors of the Stan's NoTubes Tubeless System. The ZTR Alpha 340 is compatible with tubeless tires and when used with NoTubes rim tape and the 44mm Alpha valve (plus a bit of latex-based sealant), the rim provides the foundation of a very light and reliable tubeless wheelset.
The ZTR Alpha also receives the first implementation of Stan's next-generation BST (Bead Socket Technology), resulting in a rim that doesn't have a bead hook, which lowers the sidewall of the rim by 2-3mm.
The ZTR Alpha 340 has a wider inside rim cavity with shorter sidewalls, which means improved tire performance at equivalent pressures as well as decreased pinch flats. With these short sidewalls, the tire should not hit the rim and pinch flat. This design will allow you to run lower pressures and use 4mm more of the tire than ever before.
Can be used with or without tubes with Stan's NoTubes Tubeless System.
